'Alewa' is my song, Ofori Amponsah stole it – Andy of Mentor 1
Andy of mentor 1 fame has claimed that Ofori Amponsah's trending song ‘Alewa' is a copyrighted song he composed.
He disclosed to Sammy Flex on Pluzz FM Tuesday, that he was advised by the producer to feature a popular high life singer to sing the chorus.
According to Andy, he thought of featuring his colleague Okuraseni Samuel but later called Ghanaian High Life artiste, Kofi Nti, who urged him to change some lyrics in the songs which he refused.
He said all efforts to get Kofi Nti to feature on the said song proved futile, so Andy recorded and mastered the song and handed it over to his producer.
The mentor 1 first runner – up revealed that Kofi Nti later called on phone to have a discussion with him but could not turn up until he heard Ofori Amponsah release a similar song titled ‘Alewa'.
“The song ‘Alewa' was produced by NADACO in Kumasi.
My producer told me the music sounded like Hi-life so I should feature a popular Hi-life singer to sing the chorus version.”
“First I considered to feature my mentor colleague, Okuraseni Samuel but later told popular Hi-Life singer, Kofi Nti and he advised me to change some lyrics in the song but I declined. He told me to wait for him at the studio which he never showed up at Taifa PI Studio.”
“He later called me on phone to meet him to discuss something with me but told him I'm done with the song until I recently heard that Ofori Amponsah has released a similar song with same titled ‘Alewa'.”
Kofi Nti responded the allegation insisting he had never given out lyrics of Andy's ‘Alewa' song to Ofori Amponsah but only advised him to change some portion of the song.

“I Accepted A Bribe To Keep Mute After Seeing A Pastor Bonk A Colleague’s Wife In His Office” – Gospel Singer, Erico
Famous for competing in the Mentor competition, gospel artist Eric Oduro has shared how he exposed a senior pastor who was having an extramarital affair with a colleague's wife.
In his account of the incident on Adom TV's Okukuseku with Emelia Brobbey, Erico said that he had been hired to serve at a church in Nungua when the incident occurred.
It was his responsibility, he said, to oversee a spirit-filled ministry that would bring in the senior pastor to deliver a sermon to the congregation.
He stated he had to reroute his route and return to the church after doing his work and leaving the property because he had forgotten his glasses in the pastor's office.
Upon barging into the senior pastor's office, he said the scene that unfolded before him was so shocking that, to date, he occasionally gets flashbacks.
Erico recounted seeing the pastor pants down while banging the junior pastor's wife, who doubles as the church's secretary, on his desk.
As he snatched his spectacles and made attempts to quietly walk out, he said the pastor pleaded with him not to create a scene as church service was still ongoing.
In exchange for his silence, Erico claims the pastor offered him a substantial bribe, which he accepted.

“I Won’t Advice Myself To Date An Industry Person” – Gyakie
Ghanaian artist Gyakie has opened up about her misgivings about dating a man who works in the music or creative arts fields.
Although love is undoubtedly lovely, Gyakie stated in a recent interview with 3FM that romantic connections with individuals in your career could be challenging.
She would not be dating anyone in the industry for the time being, even if she accepted that love is erratic.
If there's another version of myself, I won't counsel myself to do that. As it might be quite risky, I wouldn't suggest doing that.
“Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn't say it's wrong, but at the same time, right now, I wouldn't advise myself to be with an industry person,” Gyakie said.
