Celebs missing at Vybrant Faya’s funeral.

Published

On 23rd October, 2016, we all heard the sudden passing away of Mampi hitmaker, Vybrant Faya. Well, on Sat, Nov 26, he was buried in Tema.
There is one current trend among our celebrities here in Ghana, and this is their inability to attend funerals of their fellow celebs. Well, I have been observing this current trend and thinking they will repent but it seems to be getting out of hand and this so-called-too known, feeling big celebs to attend funeral of a sort has to be nipped in the bud.
We were all in this country when the late Prez of Ghana, Evans Fiifi Attah Mills kicked the bucket, right? Yes, during his funeral, even his fierce political opponents made it a point to attend his funeral; Prez Kuffour was there, Nana Akuffo-Addo was there, you name it. They all made that frantic effort, forgot about their differences and what have you, and made it to his funeral just to give him a befitting burial.
During the funeral of Vybrant Faya, our musicians decided not to attend the funeral. It was only the likes of Kofi Kinaata, Donzy, Ras Kuuku, and a rep from MUSIGA who were there. Yes, a whole funeral of a musician, not even this fellow dancehall acts were there. Shatta Wale was nowhere to be found, no appearance, not even Stonebwoy who stays in Ashaiman made it to his funeral.
These musicians will wake up the next day and be preaching peace, peace and peace. Common funeral, they can't put hatred, too-known aside, and attend the funeral of their fellow dancehall act who had passed on, smh. At least, go and spend even 30 minutes at the funeral grounds and bounce off enn, eihh…
On why they didn't attend the funeral, I'm sure Shatta Wale will come and tell us he was shooting a video, will be like he's preparing for his SaminiFest concert, Stonebwoy will be like I have a show in the Volta Region, smh

The occasion, organized by the Preschool department, aimed to introduce young learners to the origin and significance of the color yellow.

Dressed in cheerful yellow attire, both teachers and students adorned the school premises, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a sunlit morning. The event was more than just a visual spectacle; it was an opportunity for interactive learning and exploration.

Throughout the day, preschoolers engaged in various activities centered around the color yellow. From informative talks to creative art projects and lively face painting sessions, every moment was designed to captivate young minds and foster a deeper understanding of the significance of colors in our world.

Gone are the days of passive learning; instead, today’s education thrives on hands-on experiences that make learning both fun and exciting.

As the Yellow Day festivities concluded, it left behind not only colorful memories but also a lasting impression on the preschoolers, instilling in them a newfound appreciation for the world of colors and the joy of learning.

Ghana’s parliament finally passes Anti-LGBT+ Law

's Parliament has unanimously passed a new law criminalizing activities related to the LGBTQ+ community.

After nearly three years of extensive deliberation, Ghanaian Legislators have finally passed a tough new bill that imposes a prison sentence of up to three years for anyone convicted of identifying as LGBTQ+. It also imposes a maximum five-year jail term for forming or funding LGBTQ+ groups.

The bill, which has been widely condemned by several rights activists, was approved unanimously on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 following the completion of the third reading.

Proposed amendments to the bill were rejected by the Speaker, Alban Bagbin, during the session. The bill, which had the backing of 's two major political parties, i.e. the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will come into effect only if President Nana Akufo-Addo signs it into law.

He had previously said that he would do so if the majority of Ghanaians want him to.
