Popular Tamale-based rapper Fancy Gadam over the weekend, performed to some 19,000 fans in another well-attended concert. The show was staged in honour of peaceful elections today.
In attendance were top Ghanaian dignitaries, including Mr Ibrahim Mahama, brother of the president who cautioned against various forms of violence before, during and after the polls.
The singer, as a symbol of solidarity with perceived music rival Maccasio, performed the latter’s Too Big, which features dancehall star Shatta Wale.
Fancy Gadam also used the platform to appeal for calm, and to respect and trust the electoral process:
“After the announcements, we must all accept the results and trust the EC to handle the process. No one must attempt to take the laws into their own hands because we all want peace and development”, he said amidst loud cheers.
