Rufftown records artiste Wendy Shay has revealed the name on her passport is not Wendy Shay but that she adopted the name.
Her real name is Wendy Abena Ofosuhemaa Asiamah Addo and has to her credit ‘Uber Driver’ under Bullet’s label, Rufftown Records.
Wendy was a guest on Abeiku Santana’s ‘ATUU’ tv show on UTV.
Speaking to Abeiku Santana on how she got the name ‘Shay’, she disclosed that she fell in love with a kids TV series ‘iCarly’ as the main character was known as Carly Shay who is known in real life as Miranda Cosgrove, an American actress, singer, and songwriter.
According to Wendy, growing up as a child in Germany, she watched lots of kid series so she could easily pick up the German Language and she was always watching the episodes of ‘iCarly’ and she loved the character, reason why she ‘stole’ her last name Shay to add to hers—Wendy Shay.
