Shatta Wale Is Part of The Reasons Why Ghana Music Is Not progressing – Praye
Per the character of Shatta Wale, the best word to describe him might be ‘cantankerous’. Thus, he’s always complaining and arguing with one another for reasons best known to him.
Although beef among artistes isn’t new to our music industry but Shatta Wale’s type of beef is on a different level.
He don’t give a hoot about insulting the parents of his rivalry in the name of beefing.
It’s in this light that Choirmaster who’s commonly known as Praye Honeho, a member of Praye music group, has revealed that constant beef among Ghanaian artistes is one of the reasons why the music industry is lagging behind citing Shatta Wale’s bullying attitude to buttress his argument.
To Praye Honeho, the Nigerian musicians will continue to rule in the field of music as far as Ghanaian artistes take delight in engaging themselves in unnecessary lyrical wars. It could be recalled that Shatta Wale, Kwaw Kese, Stonebwoy as well as Sarkodie have always been engaged in lyrical wars – beefing to some extent.
“I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR BEEF. BEEF DOESN’T BRING MONEY. WE CAN’T BE BEEFING OURSELVES AND BLAME THE NIGERIANS FOR TAKING OVER OUR INDUSTRY WITH THEIR SONGS. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS TO PROJECT GHANAIAN MUSIC OUTSIDE. WE NEED TO FIND A STRATEGY THAT WILL MAKE OUR SONGS TO BE HEARD IN OTHER COUNTRIES NOT FIGHTING OURSELVES. IT’S ABOUT WE PUT THOSE BEEFS ASIDE BECAUSE THE UPCOMING ONES ARE WATCHING US. IT WILL GET TO A TIME THERE BE BEEF ALL OVER. THE VETERANS IN THE INDUSTRY HAVE TO ADVISE THE NEW ARTISTES TO STAY AWAY FROM BEEF. THE FANS SHOULDN’T SUPPORT WHEN ONE ATTACKS SO THAT THERE WILL BE CLEANNESS IN THE GAME”, PRAYE HONEHO SAID THAT IS IN AN INTERVIEW WITH AMANSAN KRAKYE OF RADIO CENTRAL IN CAPE COAST.
Going forward, Praye Honeho called on all Ghanaian artistes to come together because it’s only unity that can take them there – the level of the Nigerians. Although he was quick to add that beef isn’t bad but the negative effects on the industry surpass that of the positive.
