The issue of road tax payment by vehicle owners in Ghana has been one of the topic most media houses has touched on over the weekend with the fact that, some popular ghanaian artistes has openely declared of not paying road taxes until the Ghanaian roads are fixed and be of ‘car-worthy' by authorities.

Donzy over the weekend publicised a video on his facebook page where he was refusing to pay a road tax at a toll booth on the Tema motorway. After the video had gone viral, the Ghanaian youth are encouraged to follow suit of not paying road taxes until the roads are fixed.
Speaking on HitzFm' DaybreakHitz,
Donzy has maintained that, he is willing to go to jail and to save the lives of thousands than to be idle about the inappropriates.
He has told Andy Dosty:
If I should be arrested for not paying tolls and I end up saving thousands of lives, am I not a hero? – @DONZY_CHAKA
Beatmaker and singer Efraim also has declared his part of not paying road taxes since he think the money collected from vehicle owners on the ghanaian road are not properly managed and getting ready to organise the youth to rally against such.
The issue of bad roads has been very critical in Ghana since over 200 road accidents are being recorded per month across the country.
