Wendy Shay beats Shatta Wale and others to top as 2018 most googled Ghanaian celebrity #GoogleTrends.

Rufftown Records female signee, Wendy Shay was Ghana's most googled celebrity beating big and popular celebrities such as , Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, King Promise, BET Nominee Kwesi Arthur and the likes.

Ghanaians searched the keyword ‘Wendy Shay songs' more than any other keyword relating to the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

Wendy Shay in 2018 was involved in a lot of controversies and trolling, her alleged romantic affair with her manager, Bullet, copy-catting the songs of the late Dancehall diva, Ebony, revealing her somehow unpleasant butts and a host of them. Her hit song ‘Uber Driver' also might have contributed to being the most searched Ghanaian celebrity on Google in 2018.

But in all of these controversies, Ghanaians were busily searching for her songs on the world's giant search engine, Google.

became the second most searched Ghanaian celebrity on Google and there is no doubt about that looking at the numerous songs he released especially his most-talked-about music video, Gringo, ‘beefs' and social media rants he engaged in. His current balloon music video also stirred up controversies with some bashing him for such a bad video.

King Promise also became the 3rd most searched Ghanaian celebrity on Google in 2018. His viral gospel song featuring Sarkodie and Mugeez could have been the reason why Ghanaians searched him on Google.

BET Nominee, Kwesi Arthur took the 4th position of most searched Ghanaian celebrity on Google in 2018 and this undoubtedly may have stemmed from his BET Nomination which came as a surprise to the majority of Ghanaians. Not forgetting the song that brought him into the limelight, ‘Grind Day' featuring Sarkodie and Medikal.

The BhimNation president, Stonebwoy became the 5th most searched Ghanaian celebrity on Google in 2018. Stonebwoy released some quality and great Dancehall tunes in 2018 which might have contributed to becoming the 5th most googled Ghanaian celebrity in 2018.

The music video of his inspirational song, ‘Tomorrow' starring Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson might have been a factor.
