“You not getting nomination doesn’t mean you are not a good Artiste” – Ex Doggy
Controversy surrounding some categories of the just released nominees of the Volta Music Awards 2019 keeps getting attention even as organizers try to explain the rationale behind their selection.
The Volta Music Awards established to give recognition and reward hard working artistes in the region are in their second year of operation. It is only natural to have some artistes, On-Air personalities and industry players have a bone to pick with the working body.
The organizers of the scheme explain fews things coming up against this year’s nomination list after been released on 21st January 2019.
Reacting to this and some other issues described as flaws in the process by entertainment pundits on Zylofon fm on Saturday 26th January 2019, PR for team Ex Doggy explained to listeners that
“We accepted every flaws and it’s a human institution and it’s bound to have mistakes, But the only thing is when you don’t learn from them and work on them” He said
“I think we must rather lower the criticisms and let Ghana and the world hear our name” He added
He Also make it clear that “You not getting nominated doesn’t mean you are not a good Artiste”
The team also explained that some of the human errors that happened last year have been rectified to make this edition more effective.
The Helloadipa Volta music award is an initiative by Eventic GH and its partners to rewards and award musicians and stakeholders promoting Volta excellence through music. The main award is scheduled for 9th March 2019 .
