The president should open the airport so we can come back home - Wutah Kobby

Popular Ghanaian singer and songwriter Daniel Morris Nyarko, known by his stage name Wutah Kobby has spoken on the need for the government to open the airport for Ghanaians to come home.

As governments across the globe are evacuating their citizens at no fee, the Ghanaian government wants citizens stuck outside to pay huge sums of money before they bring them home.

Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the ‘Chio Chioo’ hitmaker revealed that the government demands they pay a whopping Ghc7,000 for two weeks mandatory quarantine and that doesn’t include a plane ticket.

The conditions involved in the evacuation is outrageous. Aside from you paying for your ticket, you’d have to pay for a mandatory quarantine at a hotel they have chosen, GHS 7,000 for two weeks” he said.

Wutah Kobby has joined the likes of Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, D-Black, and Agbeshie who have been abandoned by the government to fight for themselves.

Speaking on how he was unprepared for this pandemic, the award-winning artiste revealed that he only prepared for three weeks vacation not three months lockdown.
