Hot Evidence: Charter House Accused Of ‘Stealing’ Medikal’s Vote’s For Kuami Eugene
Charter House, the organizers of the Ghana music awards have once again been called out for wrongdoing on their side with respect to the 2020 Ghana Music Awards.
This year, the annual event was organized in a new different way due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of the original one-night event as always, this year’s awards show come off in installment of two nights in order to avoid overcrowding.
This year, young Highlife and Afrobeats singer, Kuami Eugene pulled a surprise and won the Artiste of the Year Award as against popular that Ghana’s king of rap, Sarkodie deserves to win.
Many expressed doubt as to how Kuami Eugene was able to beat Sarkodie and even Medikal to top the votes.
After public pressure on Charter House, they finally released the voting results.
From the results, Kuami Eugene topped with 36% of the votes followed by gospel musician, Diana Hamilton with 26%.
Sarkodie – 22%, Kofi Kinaata -14% and Medikal – 2%.
Shortly after the release of the results, many could not believe how a whole Medikal could get only 2% of the total votes cast albeit the overwhelming votes by his fans.
