Richie, Obour and Okyeame Kwame will never sleep for sabotaging my career for 10 years – Guru
Maradona Yeboah Agyei known famously as Guru in an interview with Abeiku Santana swore that the Lynx Entertainment team and its affiliates will never have peace for sabotaging his career for the past 10 years.
The Tema based rapper has been in the news recently after he slammed the VGMA board and its organizers for their lack of credibility.
According to Guru, the award scheme has been tailored to favour board favorites over acts that actually deserve to be awarded.
He stated bluntly that Kuami Eugene did not deserve his Artiste of the Year award claiming it is impossible when he(Guru) lost the award after releasing 10 hit songs in a calendar year.
Speaking with Abeiku Santana at the Okay FM studios, the Al Quaeda hit crooner disclosed that industry pundits including Okyeame Kuame, Obour, and Richie have deliberately crippled his career.
”Okyeame Kwame made inferences from my hit song with Obrafour- Kasiebo and thought my line about a musician named OK raping a girl in Kumasi was directed at him. I recorded a song with Lynx 10 years ago that featured Asem, Eazzy, and the likes that is yet to be released. Since that incident, the clique made up of Obour, Richie and Okyeame Kwame schemed to impede my career and the signs are all bare and clear”, Guru said.
He added that for as long as Okyeame Kwame, Obour and Richie are on the VGMA board, they would continue pursuing the agenda of favoring Lynx signees over other acts.
In a conversation with Lynx Entertainment’s General Manager, Albert Mensah, during the interview Abeiku sort to gain clarity from him concerning Guru’s assertion but he refused to be drawn into the mess.
Guru claimed that Albert could never deny he was telling the truth because the entire Lynx team and affiliates like Obour and Okyeame Kwame continue to dent his reputation.
The rapper ended by saying that just as they have made him a sleepless renegade, they would never enjoy peace themselves.
