Singer iOna’s Photo With Afia Schwarzenegger Causes Stir On Social Media

Ghanaian highlife and afrobeat singer iOna Reine has become the talking point on social media since last night. The singer after sharing a photo she took with Mzbel's arch-enemy Afia Schwarzenegger at the Golden Movie Awards caused a stir as many of her followers felt disappointed accusing her of betraying her “Mom”.

The “Soy la Reine” hit maker speaking to reporter Nana Reagan on Sunday morning said she's just being misjudged by the public because she's got no evil intentions for Mzbel. According to her, she only met Afia Schwarzenegger at the award ceremony and only decided to have a chat with her. She said the photo she shared was only to promote peace and not to team up with Afia against Mzbel.

“Afia Schwarzenegger is not my friend. I met her at the Golden Movie Awards ceremony and decided to have a chat with her. I apologised to her and took a picture with her just to promote peace and not team up with her against Mzbel as people want to make it look. I know some of my fans are disappointed and I am sorry about that. I have nothing bad against Mzbel. We are cool and I still love her. Besides, if I have any issues with Mzbel, I will use my platforms to address it and not use Afia Schwarzenegger. I feel I'm being misjudged” she told Nana Reagan.

Few hours after sharing the photo which was captioned “God bless you @queenafiaschwarzenegger for all your counsel tonite really appreciate it ???”, the singer came back to apologise to her social media followers who felt disappointed by her actions.

She wrote in a different post: “I see that all my loved ones here are pissed at me no bad intentions intended i am really sry.
we are approaching Christmas and I thought that picture will project peace so sorry for disappointing you iolovers forgive me ?????”
