Division, Pride and Ego Making Volta Region Talents Go Waste – CEO of Eventic GH Laments

Division, pride, ego among other several unnecessary factors are causing the downfall and not improving and promoting the agenda of Volta music to the top as needed, Kwamivi Ashiaby popularly known as Ex Doggy has said.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eventic GH, organizers of Volta music awards, if these factors are not checked, and worked on for easy solution, the agenda to pave way for Volta musicians won't be achieved.

In a Facebook post sighted by dklassgh.net, Kwamivi Ashiaby indicated that, Volta musicians are lacking the unity value in aim of striking for the topmost.

“I have been thinking and cracking my brain about our music and entertainment industry in and i come to realize so many things we are doing wrong. With the few industry players I personally interacted with, so many are things we are doing wrong in terms of projecting our own. Yes ! We lack a united front even though we are realizing the new dawn. I always commend Volta Showbiz Gurus ( VSG) WhatsApp platform for starting a very great crusade and making us start from somewhere. I also give a very big thanks to our radio DJs and hosts for putting their resources together and granting interviews together with playtime on radio.

“For the event organizers all I can say is Ayekoo! . A whole lot goes into organizing event in and if you are not having the passion and love, you will end up not organizing any show after your first event. In short, “money no dey inside at all”. You won't make any profit. For those of us who made sure we continue and keep the fire blazing ended up breaking the bank account and also owing bigly ( debts). I give thanks to some few who are holding the baton in the region all in the name of seeing our entertainers get the requisite attention” part of his post reads.

He further added, “Pride and ego. Yes Pride and ego is making many of our very good talent waste along the line. Read that again! Unity – when I talk about United front I mean we are not doing any better at all. Instead of promoting arts we rather promote supremacy and that won't lead to projecting our region against the rest nationally. We have limited resources and instead of rallying behind everyone, the whole thing is looking like we want to project who is best, which at the end won't give any proper front to battle others.”

THE NEW VOLTA.

I have been thinking and cracking my brain about our music and entertainment industry in Volta region and i come to realize so many things we are doing wrong.

For the event organizers all I can say is Ayekoo! .

A whole lot goes into organizing event in Volta region and if you are not having the passion and love, you will end up not organizing any show after your first event. In short, “money no dey inside at all”. You won't make any profit. For those of us who made sure we continue and keep the fire blazing ended up breaking the bank account and also owing bigly ( debts).

I give thanks to some few who are holding the baton in the region all in the name of seeing our entertainers get the requisite attention. Elorm Beenie, Jonilar , Rasmuta , Sizzla Dellings, Samuel Amadotor, Adeleke , Ëfo Dodzi Kõblã Ko , Jerome Bigx, Airlly Kplym , Whoknows Endo, Arnold King Wailer , Andrews Samuel Oms, Prince Kwaku, Selorm Ameza, Beryl Belinda Bredzei, Ahoefa Mimi …. to mention but a few who are making sure the fire won't go down. A very big credit to Volta Music Awards and the kind of love the entire region is showing us to keep the spirit higher.

Now to our artistes The problem about our artistes is so huge that I can't list all.

1. Pride and egoYes Pride and ego is making many of our very good talent waste along the line. Read that again !

2. Unity – when I talk about United front I mean we are not doing any better at all. Instead of promoting arts we rather promote supremacy and that won't lead to projecting our region against the rest nationally. We have limited resources and instead of rallying behind everyone, the whole thing is looking like we want to project who is best, which at the end won't give any proper front to battle others.

3. Who is holding the mantle for Volta? Someone wrote in his article the other time asking “After Edem, who is next ”?The fact is Edem alone can't fight for the whole region even as at the time he was in his prime, he was tagged the “Ayigbe” guy who is doing good and after him no one else. Forgetting during his era , we were having Agbeko, Torgbui Chicago and so on but what did we see, they were rather being projected unknowingly fighting among themselves (beef) claiming who is better than other and so on which made him (Edem) alone singing and rapping in ewe. The rest of them are history now. My question is how can our songs keep ringing bell in the ears of those who can't speak or understand the language?

The Yoruba and Ibo guys kept pushing variety into our ears and we ended up loving their thing. The Twi and Ga musicians kept giving us varieties and we had no choice to play their song during our events. I can keep adding the points over and over which are facts, but the question is what can we do to help more?I want to see our artistes collaborating with each other, making hits upon hits, holding on to a particular BPM which can make our DJs play their songs back to back without having any choice.

I mean we must have that love back as one people to make our industry viable for businessmen and government to assist. Everything starts from us ooo. Look at the Kumericans ! #thenewvolta#voltatainmnet#VoltaMusic#musicinghana#voltaregion#ewes

Ghanaian preacher, philanthropist, and the President of King's Word Family, Prophet , revealed in one of his controversial interviews that drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana are not sins, as we all know.

According to the experienced man of God, smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol are just sins against one's own self and body but not against God, because the Lord created these to be given to those who were in trouble and needed help, so if you take them, you are just doing your body harm and not sinning against the almighty.
