I Am Entering Into Politics Soon – Kuami Eugene

Ghana's multi-award-winning musician and present VGMA artist of the year, Kuami Eugene, has announced that he plans to work for the government in the future.

Kuami disclosed his hidden thoughts of preparing for a future in politics during an interview with Ohemaa Woyeje on her Angel FM show “Y'Adwuma Nie.”

According to Kuami Eugene, he has always aspired to lead his people and contribute to the nation's growth, and he is willing to take any position if given the opportunity.

“I've made preparations. I'm not only worried about music. I have plans to hold other offices, like those in government. It wouldn't be a bad idea for me to enter politics because I am the kind of person who is worried about our mutual well-being.

To get to that stage, you'll need to meet those requirements. I'm working on it now, bringing together some online tests so that I can get some qualifications and advance in the future.” He said.

Meanwhile, when he appeared on YFM's Ryse N Shyne special, hosted by Brown Berry, the Lynxx Entertainment signee made it clear that he is trying to stay on top for long.

“I have to put in more work now,” he says, “because in Ghana, the larger you get, the tougher it is to do the job.”

As an emerging musician, Ghanaians still support you, but once you start doing well for yourself, all of that support vanishes”.

“When you reach the brink, people will be waiting for you to slip. Everyone will remind you that you won't last at the top indefinitely. They're all waiting for you to fail, which is why I'm always pushing myself to work harder,” he said. Read More
