“I Have Made, And Still Making A Lot From Music Production” – Mix Master Garzy Reveals

Contrary to popular belief, music production in Ghana is lucrative. Mix Master Garzy, a well-known producer, has shown that he has made a lot of money from it.

The renowned record producer mentioned to GhanaWeb's Elsie Lamar on Talkertainment that he can boast of a lot of possessions he has been able to acquire through music.

“I am not hungry”. I'm doing fantastically well. No one has to convince me otherwise. All is well right now, believe me. I'm making money, making good music, and traveling all over the world to collaborate with other artists, all while making money,” he added.

It can be remembered that some Ghanaian music producers complained of being “dumped” by big artists after providing services to them.

DJ Breezy, MOGbeatz, and Possigee, among others, have expressed dissatisfaction with how impossible it is to excel in the music business when artists do not care for their services.

But, when it comes to that specific subject, Mix master Garzy explains:

“There have been several allegations recently between distributors and artists. We ought to agree on how the proportion should be distributed. The proceeds from the songs should be cut in half. It is what must be done,” he said emphatically.
