Davido Allegedly Stole His ‘JOWO’ Song From Victor AD – Details
One of Wizkid's fans accused Nigerian artist and songwriter David Adeleke, also known as Davido, of stealing a song from his colleague musician.
Thuglife, a Twitter user, accused Davido of stealing the song “Jowo” from another artist after he cialmed the artist, Victor AD, confirmed it on Hip TV.
He also revealed that when Victor AD approached Davido about copying the song “Jowo,” he blocked him from all of his social media pages and threatened to destroy him if he mentioned it publicly.
This is a substantial charge that could derail Davido's celebration. It should be noted that Davido posted a video marking his 10th anniversary in the music industry in the early hours of Monday.
He posted a video that included some old footage of him performing on stage while he was struggling to establish his career and name. This allegation seems to have the potential to turn into a controversy.
“Jowo” is one of Davido's songs that has gone viral and is often played on music apps. Davido's album, A Better Time, included the song “Jowo.” A few weeks after the main album was released, he did a music video for Jowo with former BBNaija housemate Nengi.
Accusing Davido for song theft on twitter, the user wrote;
“Victor AD just confirmed davido stole his record “Jowo” according to AD; OBO heard d song after they recorded “Tire You”. He was surprised to see d song on ABT without him/his mgt consent; He said davido blocked him on Socials & threatened to ruin him. This wickedness”.
