, a former Lynx Entertainment signee, has urged music fans to quit disparaging artistes who have previously had a successful career in the industry by comparing them to newcomers who are now making waves in Ghana.

In an interview with ZionFelix, the singer dismissed reports that her former label partner, Kuami Eugene, who she featured in two of her songs to formally begin his music career, is now “ahead of her.”

, a former member of the music trio D3 and she who was nominated for the BET Best International Act: Africa Award in 2016, responded by saying that comparing her to “newbies” is absurd.

“Next year will be my tenth year in the music profession, so I will be celebrating my ten years,” she stated. He is now enjoying the same type of excitement and loudness that I used to adore. So, comparing the two is difficult; in fact, I don't think you can compare the two.”

“It's a little perplexing to me since Beyoncé is a well-known musician, whereas Cardi B is a relative newcomer. She is now more popular than Beyoncé, although Beyoncé was already well-known when she arrived. They don't link the two and claim that she (Cardi B) is superior there. It simply does not operate that way.”

“Everyone can be celebrated, but in Ghana, it seems to have become a negative thing that if you have been somewhere for a long time, they forget about you and start comparing you to newcomers, which makes no sense to me. At the end of the day, each person's journey is unique.”

Finding one's footing in the music industry, especially for female performers, may be difficult, according to the singer.
