Kwame Obeng Asare, also known as Kwame A-Plus, a social commentator and controversial singer, has descended heavily on the country's youth.

His remarks come after the Asante Professionals Club voiced displeasure with a purported critique by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the overseer of Lighthouse Chapel.

Bishop Heyward-Mills' purported questioning of Otumfuo's developmental success, according to the group, was absurd.

According to the organization, Otumfuo has been an agent of peace and progress in Asanteman and beyond since his enthronement.

“Over 600,000 students have benefited from complete scholarships and financial support through the Otumfuo Education Fund under Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

“In addition, about one million tables and another one million school materials have been provided to students around the country,” the organization claimed.

The youth, on the other hand, made a plea “Within 48 hours, Bishop Dag-Mills will seek sound counsel. Otherwise, none of his Asanteman enclave churches will be allowed to function. Furthermore, we are issuing a warning to anyone who hide behind religion and politics in order to promote this vile goal against Asanteman and his royal majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu.”

Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, on the other hand, has apologized for the inflammatory lecture, saying that it was delivered 20 years ago.

“I am profoundly concerned that a remark I delivered nearly 20 years ago at a conference has been taken out of context and published by those who have previously announced that they will maliciously shut down our churches in Kumasi,” he said.

, on the other hand, lambasted the youth groups demanding for Bishop Dag Heward-Mills to apologize in a Facebook video.

“In Kumasi, there are poor roads, but you've never demonstrated against them,” he remarked. People couldn't believe how horrible Manhyia Hospital was, but you can't protest against the government for not fixing it after years of voting for the NPP.

“Sir John's town lacked piped water, so he had to contact me to arrange for one. Isn't it possible for you to start your own repair Kumasi campaign? Galamsey is destroying lands in the Ashanti Region; why can't the youth band together and fight back? You're a fool. I have no fear of anyone, yet I recognize your faces.”
