For being the best rapper on the African continent, Sarkodie was given a special microphone “crafted in his likeness.”
He received this award from Pure FM management earlier today (July 9) when he was invited to the studios for an exclusive interview on Hammer’s ‘Hammer Time’ show, which airs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Obidi was taken aback when he was notified about the box and eventually delivered it with it since it had his name engraved on it.
He was overjoyed, and he was encouraged to utilize it in all of his future theatrical performances.

However, Ghanaian Highlife musician, Dada Hafco has said that there is a need for Ghanaians to champion and promote the Highlife genre as our identity.
This comes after Shatta Wale disclosed in his State of the Industry address that there is the need for Ghanaians to promote one genre that can be attributed to all music works in the country.
This was after Shatta Wale revealed that during his trip to Miami in the United State of America he was asked by some of the foreign investors he met as to what kind of music Ghanaians are known for.
