Chief Imam Donates Ghc 50,000 To Support National Cathedral Project

Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, has given GHC50,000 towards the building of the National Cathedral.

When the National Cathedral's Board of Trustees, led by Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, the new Chairman, paid him a courtesy call at his home in New Fadama, the National Chief Imam delivered the presentation.

In his remarks, he expressed his delight at the opportunity to convene such a gathering in order to help the country become great.

“With this type of gathering, this is a sign that we all trace our origins to a single source,” Sheikh Sharubutu said. Why did Allah divide us into races and tribes, resulting in such diversity? As a result, you will recognize and support one another. It's not because you should come here to fight and fight because of your differences. We are grateful to the almighty God for allowing us to demonstrate to the world that it is not God's desire for mankind to be embroiled in continuous war and conflict.”

“God has made it special to owe the followers of many faiths that there is no dissension or conflict between us; we live in peace, we may sit at the same table in the same chair, and we support one other. This type of favor that God has bestowed upon us as a country requires us to realize that it is a favor that he has bestowed upon us, and we must not do anything to jeopardize the peace.”

“Let us not allow politics to come between us and ruin our relationships,” he continued. Let us put politics aside and come together so that we may talk to each other and strengthen our friendship, and then assist our country live in peace.”

“Anything that will come up as a problem, let us meet together just as we are meeting and then find a way to restore order and peace so that other nations may learn from us,” he said.
