Rapper Lil Uzi Vert says fans ripped $24 million pink diamond out of his forehead
American Rapper Lil Uzi Vert said that fans ripped off the pink diamond worth $24 million he got embedded on his forehead in February this year.
An American rapper who got a pink diamond worth $24 million embedded on his forehead has said that fans ripped the precious stone off him. Lil Uzi Vert was doing crowd-surfing at a music festival recently when someone ripped the jewel pierced into his forehead.
“I had a show at Rolling Loud (festival), and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out,” he told TMZ about his performance in July in Miami.
The rapper said that he’s “feeling good” – and he still has the diamond. He did not suffer any facial injuries.
Lil Uzi had been paying for the diamond since 2017 and had always wanted to wear it on his face. He had said that the precious stone was a whopping 10-11 karat and it cost more than “all my cars together, plus home”.
The diamond was surgically implanted in his face earlier this year.
A barbell piercing is now in place of the diamond.
The 26-year-old Philadelphia native had said that he decided to get it pierced on his forehead as he was afraid that he would otherwise lose it.
A fan had earlier asked him why he didn’t turn the diamond into a ring. To this, the rapper replied, “If I lose the ring yeah U will make fun of me more than putting it in my forehead.”
Several netizens have compared his forehead piercing to popular Marvel character Vision, whose body operates from the infinity stone that’s embedded in the middle of his forehead.
