The Government has failed the Creative Arts Industry, but we should not fail ourselves – Kwasi Ernest
Renowned artiste manager Kwasi Ernest has advised all creative arts practitioners to do everything possible to be successful. He mentions that although the government has defaulted in their role, that does not mean absolute failure.
Speaking to Christian Agyei Frimpong on Anigye Mere on Onua Fm,
Kwasi Ernest said that, even though the government has abysmally failed the creative arts industry, stakeholders in the talent industry should make sure they don’t replicate.
“The last time I told my wife that it beats my imagination whenever I see or hear my own people begging for money on radio and TV. Even though the government has failed us, we have so much potential to be successful ourselves. We should not do anything that will destroy our fellow creative arts practitioners,” he admonished.
Again, he stated, “Creative arts personalities can use their talents to create wealth for themselves without begging for alms,” the CEO added.
Kwesi Ernest is the Chief Executive Officer of Media Excel and manager for gospel artiste Kofi Sarpong.
