“I’m Under Pressure To Produce A Song That Will Be Bigger Than‘Ekorso’” – Kofi Jamar
Derrick Osei Kuffour Prempeh, better known as Kofi Jamar, the Ghanaian rapper, has revealed that he is under extreme pressure to make a hit song that is even bigger than his monster hit, “Ekorso.”
Kofi Jamar said on Kastle FM that there is ongoing pressure on artists to generate more popular songs than before.
“As for the pressure, once you get into the business, you're under constant pressure to produce hit song after hit song. There is always pressure on you to produce a great, hit, or classic song, regardless of whether one is already in the industry.”
Kofi Jamar, who is best known for his popular song ‘Ekorso,' which was inspired by the viral Asakaa craze and features Yaw Tog and YPee, says he is working hard to make more successful songs.
“However, I recognized that it's all about creating a fan base and releasing quality over time, so I'm still doing what got me to produce Ekorso's hit song,” he continued.
The rapper is presently promoting his new EP, “Appetite for Destruction,” which will be published in September 2021.
