Nikki Samonas, the Ghanaian actress, recently claimed that her light skin excluded her from a role in the award-winning film “Beast Of No Nation.”

She said that she was qualified for the job, but that her complexion disqualified her since the producers required someone with a dark complexion for the role.

Nikki Samonas said in an interview with Abeiku Santana on United Showbiz broadcast on United Television that her pale complexion sometimes works in her favor during auditions for movie roles, but it may sometimes work against her.

She did, however, reveal that her complexion had nothing to do with why she was cast in some of Ghana’s most popular films. She feels that her devotion, hard work, and commitment have shaped her into the person she is today.
