After being remanded in police prison, Ghanaian singer Emmanuel Kofi Botwe, better known by his stage name Kwaw Kese, has begged for the release of Shatta Wale, the self-proclaimed dancehall king.
We just reported that the dancehall artist appeared in court after being charged with inciting fear and panic as a result of a PR stunt he conducted in connection with a prophecy given by a man of God named Jesus Ahuofe.
According to reports circulating on social media by Shatta Wale's publicist, Nana Dope, Shatta Wale was shot on Monday night in East Legon. The revelation, which turned out to be false, rocked the whole digital realm, prompting many of his admirers to voice their concerns over his purported health.
Following the arrest of the man of God who made the dire prophecy regarding his fate, he surrendered himself in. Shatta Wale appeared in court today and was ordered to be held in police custody for a week.
As a result, Kwaw Kese, his school father who has experienced the wrath of the law over illicit substances, has prayed for the release of his former arch-nemesis, Shatta Wale, adding that he hopes Shatta's case would not be handled the same way as he was a few years ago.
Taking to his Twitter, he wrote; I hope this don't go too far like they did to me, I pray they release him soon#FreeShattaWale
