Ghanaian socialite and Stonebwoy Stan Ayisha Modi used social media to begin an online campaign demanding the arrest of Evangelist Mama Pat, formerly known as Nana Agradaa, a self-styled preacher who has duped Ghanaians over time.
Nana Agradaa, who was accused of duping her victims with her “Sika Gari” fraud, according to Ayisha Modi, was never handled brutally by the law like Shatta Wale.
She said that the authorities are selective in how they punish criminals, claiming that numerous individuals have been accused of similar offenses but have gotten away with it, while others are forced to face the consequences of their actions. She revealed this after sharing recordings of Nana Agradaa ridiculing a victim she tricked out of GHc1,000, telling him plainly that he had been deceived by her and that he should denounce her to the police.
She asserted that the country’s penal system has to reform in terms of how sanctions are apportioned to lawbreakers.
She wrote;
The fact that I dont like shatta wales character doesn’t mean I hate him. We all know shatta is the type who likes joking, If I don’t like some of his actions that doesn’t mean he is my enemy. I wasn’t born and raised that way and this is not the first time I’ve been out to talk about issues like this even I defend my worst enemies when I see that they are not treated fairly. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying the IGP shouldn’t do his work but my problem is he shouldn’t be selective everyone should be treated equally. How many times have they attended to serious cases when reported to them at their various stations, innocent people are being jailed and some serving life in prison because they don’t have money to defend themselves. In Ghana here when a pastor was caught live on camera with weed the issue vanished from the system but kwaw kese was jailed with same crime. Are we going to sit And watch this nonsense to continue?? People like Nana Agradaa who sit on national TV to dupe the country was not treated like a criminal when she was arrested so why are they treating shatta wale as a criminal ?? Ghana need a change!!!!
