Kwaw Kese and Shatta Wale

Following Shatta Wale’s present plight after performing a prank on the authorities, Ghanaian rapper Emmanuel Kofi Botwe, popularly known as Kwaw Kese, has taken a shot at him.

Shatta Wale was recently detained in East Legon for allegedly fabricating a gunshot incident. This follows a prophecy that he will be shot by unknown assailants on October 18, 2021. He was sentenced to one week in police custody by the Accra Circuit Court, but he was released on GHc100,000 bail.

In an interview with TV3, Kwaw Kese revealed that he is now squared with the dancehall artist Shatta Wale, and that his followers mocked him when he was also in trouble with the police, referring to him as an ex-convict.

“At one point, he and his admirers referred to me as ex-convicts. That sort of thing. But, because God is so kind, now we’re all ex-convicts,” he explained.

According to Kwaw Kese, it’s terrible that his colleague Shatta Wale had to go through the same ordeal he did in 2015 when he was accused of consuming marijuana in public. He feels Shatta Wale has learned his lesson and would never do something like this again.

“It wasn’t something I wanted to happen to any of my coworkers, but we don’t have control over the law.” You can be apprehended by the law at any time. That, I believe, is what happened. That’s unfortunate that my brothers had to go through it, but certain things must be endured in order to learn a lesson. I believe a lesson has been learned. You can’t go ruff-ruffing people left and right like that,” he continued.
