“Ghanaians Cherish Commercial Songs More Than Songs That Talks About Critical Issues”-Stonebwoy Laments (Video)

Livingstone Etse Satekla, also known as , the award-winning dancehall musician, has stated that Ghanaians prefer and appreciate commercial music over songs that address pressing concerns in the country.

remarked in a recent interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi on Peace FM that while most Ghanaians relate to commercial songs when they are published, singers who create songs concerning serious issues affecting the country only relate to a specific class of people.

Stonebwoy bemoaned that many villages are suffering from poor conditions as a result of illegal mining when discussing his new song “Greedy Men,” and that his song wants to educate the public on the consequences of such actions in the nation.

He did, however, urge Ghanaians to listen to songs with important messages in order to halt various criminal acts that deplete our natural resources.
