Martina Dwamena, popularly known as Asantewaa, the Ghanaian Tiktoker, informed Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay) that the video-sharing app is quite profitable.

After a friend introduced her to TikTok, she led the presenter of the Delay program and her viewers through the birth of her success on TikTok.

“I have a friend” (my coursemate). During the lockdown, she informed me that there is an app called TikTok, and had I heard of it? She also believes that this software is for me. So go ahead and download the app. And I’m thinking to myself, ma te (I hear)… So I downloaded the app and made my first video, which was well received by everybody. People were just tagging me that some blogs had posted the video when I woke up.”
