“My Brand Is Too Big For Popularity Stunt” – Obaapa Christy
Obaapa Christy, the popular Ghanaian Christian music singer, and Lady Reverend has stated that at this point in her career, she does not require any cheap promotional stunts.
Unlike other artists who rely on cheap marketing to stay current, Obaapa has declared unequivocally that, given how far God has taken her as a musician, she does not feel the need to conduct a PR stunt to promote her new song or brand.
Obaapa Christy, previously Christiana Love, is one of Ghana's most popular performers, having a well-known and marketable brand throughout Africa and beyond.
Despite all of her career's ups and downs, she remains relevant in the business because of God's grace and hard work.
Obaapa Christy is now promoting ‘The Glory,' a brand new track.
In 2007, she received Best Female Vocalist of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year, and Best Collaboration of the Year for a song in which she collaborated with Kwaku Gyasi, another famous name in gospel music.
As a result, she has counseled colleagues and aspiring artists to focus on putting in more hours, assembling a strong team, and seeking God's blessing and direction.
