“I Want To Be A Gym Instructor So That They Can Take The Music” – Shatta Wale Hints On Quitting Music Anytime Soon
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., better known as Shatta Wale, the multi-award-winning Ghanaian dancehall musician, has hinted about leaving the music industry to work as a gym instructor.
Shatta Wale, one of Ghana's most popular dancehall artists, is claimed to have caused a ruckus during the IGP's meeting with the creative arts business after being accosted by a police officer for using his phone in the auditorium.
This comes just days after he was allegedly apprehended by the police for staging a shooting incident in East Legon. He was tried and remanded in police prison for one week, with GHc100,000 in bail.
Following the discussion with the IGP, Shatta Wale claimed that celebrities would be free to pursue their artistic endeavors without fear of being stigmatized. Many people, he claims, refer to him as a rascal because of his dress sense and hairdo. He claimed that musicians have a long list of beneficial contributions to their credit and that their physical appearance should not be used to judge their character in the eyes of Ghanaians.
Shatta Wale recently announced on his Facebook page that he will be leaving the music industry for his teammates to pursue a new job as a gym teacher.
He wrote; You is ok , I want to be a gym instructor so they can take the music
