“La Même Gang Is Not A Music Group, We Just Come Together Sometimes” – Darkovibes Discloses

Darkovibes, a former member of the dissolved music group La Même Gang, has stated that the group was never founded with the intention of remaining as one.

Darkovibes clarified that what Ghanaians thought of as a music group was not the case; instead, they get together to jam on a song and then go their own ways after they're done.

During a conversation with Graphic Showbiz. Darkovibes covered a wide range of topics.

Darko Vibes said that despite their success as La Même Gang, he and his colleagues Nxwrth, Kiddblack, Spacely, Kwaku Bs, and RJZ were never a gang.

“We came together to aid each other, but we've never been a group like R2Bees, Keche, or DopeNation.” We get together every now and then to sing a song, but we've never done it as a group.

“In La Même Gang, each member is free to do anything he wants. If one of the men wants to feature me on a song, that's OK, but if he doesn't, he's on his own. I'm also free to include anybody I want on my songs, which I've done in the past,” he continued.

He also praised singers such as R2Bees, M.anifest, and Okyeame Kwame for staying out of trouble during their careers.

“I admire musicians who have managed to remain out of trouble.” It's not easy to deal with popularity; there are so many things I wish I could do but can't because of the brand I want to establish. I used to be able to free my thoughts and do anything I wanted since no one knew who I was, but now I can't because I have grown-ups and educated people listening to me,”
