's objective had been to climb the ladder and join the mainstream music industry after making a major impact in the inaugural episode of reality talent program Mentor on TV3 in 2006, especially after releasing a single, Sweetie.

However, his plan did not come to fruition, and he faded away, claiming that the individuals he trusted betrayed him.

told Graphic Showbiz on Monday, November 8, that when he first tasted stardom, he trusted the people around him, but those same people became his demise.

“I would have been a better artist if I had fallen into the hands of nice people, but I let some individuals into my life who ended up being my undoing.” He remarked, “I was duped into doing things I shouldn't have done back then.”

Andy indicated that he needed to take a long vacation from the music industry and return when he was ready. “During my extended absence, I took advantage of the chance to record new songs while also honing my stage presence. He remarked, “I have enough songs for Ghanaians and I can now claim that I am ready for Ghanaian music.”

Andy also said that he dropped out of the music industry because he was unprepared to handle fame.

“To tell you the truth, fame came to me unexpectedly and I was not prepared. Within three months, I had become well-known, but I had no idea what to do next. Within three months, I was all over the place and unsure how to deal with the fad.
