In one of his most recent Facebook live broadcasts, Twene Jonas, a popular Ghanaian-American online phenomenon, has taken a shot at rapper Sarkodie.
The rapper has always been chastised, but one of his latest tweets about the country’s difficulties infuriated Ghanaians, who put him on the chopping block.
Due to a song he made with Kuami Eugene called “Happy Day” to promote Akufo-Addo before the 2020 general election and his silence about Ghana’s woes, Sarkodie has always been labeled as an NPP member.
In the midst of all the criticism and claims hurled against Ghana’s top rapper, Twene Jonas decided to weigh in, blasting Sarkodie for remaining silent about the government’s dealings while Ghanaians are suffering.
“I’m on Sarkodie,” he says. I’ve even heard he’ll be doing a performance over here, and I don’t want to ruin it. Because if I criticize him or talk about him, no one will show up, and his career will end like John Dumelo’s. He’ll either form his own political party or enter politics after that.
