“Fame Is Just A F*cked Up Spirit” – Fireboy DML (Video)

Speaking about his current emphasis in the industry, Fireboy DML revealed that it is how to keep the fire burning rather than become famous since celebrity is very harmful.

Fireboy DML is one of Nigeria's most successful singers, but he likes to stay away from social media unless it's about his music, and he just placed Nigeria on the map with his remix song “Peru,” which includes Ed Sheeran.

In an interview with Chude, Fireboy DML expressed his concern about maintaining the fantastic songs he's been writing and making better songs for his fans and music enthusiasts, as well as not screwing things up for himself and his loved ones.

According to him, he doesn't really think about his current celebrity since the only time it comes to mind is when he's riding through his neighborhood disguised and people recognize him; that's when he realizes he's famous.

To him, celebrity is a fvcked-up spirit, similar to money or s3.x, that can get to you mentally and make you do things you'll later regret, which is why it's so hazardous, because it can impact your thinking and control you so much.

Fireboy DML went on to say that he's being extra cautious these days because he doesn't want to make any errors since making mistakes as a famous person can be very costly because you won't be able to recover.
