“Most Ghanaian Musicians Promote Foreign Interviews Than Local Ones” – Kobby Kyei
Most Ghanaian musicians prefer to promote foreign content above native stuff, according to award-winning Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei, who also rants when Ghanaians do the same.
Most Ghanaian singers, he claims, promote overseas interviews such as those with Tim Westwood and other foreign media outlets, but then complain when Ghanaians fail to acknowledge them for doing so.
In an interview with KMJ on Hitz FM, Kobby Kyei remarked that after performing freestyle on local media platforms, Ghanaian singers refuse to publish on their social media platforms, but would gladly promote international platforms when given the opportunity to showcase their abilities.
According to Kobby Kyei, promoters, bloggers, radio hosts, DJs, and others, should be treated equally in terms of money and prestige because musicians wouldn’t be able to enjoy their fortune without their influence and marketing.
