“Church Instrumentalists Must Be Paid Monthly” – Diana Hamilton Opines
Ghanaian gospel singer and 2020 VGMA AOTY, Diana Hamilton, has addressed the issue of compensation for church instrumentalists.
She simply stated, “The worker is deserving their remuneration” in an interview with Doctar Cann on Happy FM's Saturday morning entertainment program, Showbiz Xtra, indicating her support for the decision.
She believes that if someone does this for a living and the church employs them to perform during services, they are compensated appropriately.
“The Bible teaches that the idle hand does not eat.” How will the instrumentalist be fed if you run a church and expect him to come every day but don't pay him? ” She said.
If he doesn't dress nicely for church, you'll complain about his appearance. Therefore, if he works as an instrumentalist in the church, you must pay him so he can support himself, Diana explained. He has dedicated himself to God's work, but he will not be able to complete it without your help.
People often underestimate instrumentalists, according to the singer, since they believe they can just sit there and play whatever they want.
Everything, even the number of times you require him to minister, must be evaluated. A good church, according to my father, had a great sermon, praise, prayer, and sound.
The vocalist came to the conclusion that instrumentalists are an important part of a healthy church and should be rewarded for their contributions.
