“I First Travelled Out Of This Country With The Help Of Sarkodie” – Akwaboah Reveals
According to Akwaboah, he would not have had the opportunity to travel overseas if it weren't for the rapper Sarkodie.
His decision to join Sarkcess Music, he claims, opened numerous doors of opportunity for him, one of which was the opportunity to go outside of the nation.
In an exclusive interview with Kastle FM in Cape Coast, Akwaboah, who has a hit song called “Obiaa,” praised Sarkodie for taking him on a tour across Europe and the United States in an exclusive interview.
“When I was working with Sarkodie, I needed the exposure even more, and I hadn't traveled outside of the country before.”
“My first trip abroad was with Sarkodie, who took me to the United States and the United Kingdom.”
After his career as a musician was beginning to take off, Akwaboah signed with the Sakcess Music Record Label, which is owned by Sarkodie, in 2016.
Classic highlife compositions were churned out during his tenure with Sarkodie and his record company, as was great work on the masterpiece album “Mary.”
Despite the fact that Akwaboah's contract with Sarkcess Music was not renewed after three years, he was instrumental in helping Sarkodie create and produce numerous songs, including “Mewu.”
Following his departure from the record company, Akwaboah founded his own and released the “Matter of the Heart” album in 2019, which was a smash hit.
Despite the fact that Akwaboah's career is on the rise, he has yet to appreciate the crucial role Sarkodie and Sarkcess Music played in his success.
