After his career as a musician was beginning to take off, Akwaboah signed with the Sakcess Music Record Label, which is owned by Sarkodie, in 2016.

Classic highlife compositions were churned out during his tenure with Sarkodie and his record company, as was great work on the masterpiece album “Mary.”

Despite the fact that Akwaboah's contract with Sarkcess Music was not renewed after three years, he was instrumental in helping Sarkodie create and produce numerous songs, including “Mewu.”
