In a new video, Ghanaian dancehall maestro Shatta Wale revisits the issue he has with his mother, Madam Evelyn Elsie Avamegah, revealing the friction between them.
According to him, there are many things about his mother that he does not want to pour into the public arena, but he has a portion of it to solidify his position on why he does not support her in the meantime.
I come from a dysfunctional family. My mother abandoned my father when we were children. I was in SHS1 at the time. We used to have to study 13 topics, and I didn’t have the mental capacity to do so. Because my brain isn’t a factory, I despised it. So I told my father, and he insisted that we all go to the United States, namely Miami, “he explained.
“He had a contract there and wanted us all to move in and settle.

She abandoned my father. She walked away from all of those opportunities. She ran away from home and abandoned us.

He also said that he has always supported his father, mother, and everyone else throughout his life, but that no one appreciated it.
