The gold watch of Ghana’s national team captain, Dede Ayew, valued at £20,000, has been reported stolen at Baba Yara.
Football fever is spreading throughout Ghana, with many Ghanaians looking forward to the impending football match between Ghana and Nigeria this evening.
Some Ghanaians have already gathered at Kumasi’s stadium, chanting and dancing in anticipation of the big event. Players from Ghana and Nigeria are also getting ready for the game tonight.
Dede Ayew, the team’s captain, was at the Baba Yara sports stadium to cheer on his teammates despite not being able to participate tonight owing to a red card he earned during their previous encounter against Comoros.
When he arrived at the stadium and was recognized by Ghanaians, he was surrounded by fans who had come to see the Black Stars train. He discovered his gold watch was missing after he was surrounded.
