“If E-Levy Truly Transforms Ghana, I Will Be The First To Admit I Was Wrong” – Lydia Forson
Lydia Forson, the Ghanaian actress, has responded to the passing of E-Levy. On Tuesday, parliament passed the contentious Electronic Transactions Bill in its third reading. Even before it was passed, the minority walked out.
Lydia Forson remarked in a post that if E-Levy transforms the country, she will be the first to acknowledge she was wrong.
She wrote on Twitter: “If this #elevy really does transform this country the way they say it will; I will be first in line to admit I was wrong, until then….”
She also mentioned what would have made her appreciate the E-Levy more.
“If the #elevy was framed like the Agaciro Development Fund; a fund citizens contribute to in Rwanda, to help make the country less dependent on foreign aid(which I learnt about on one of my trips there) I would have appreciated it more because I actually loved the idea.”
