Ghanaian music has evolved over the years and is getting better and better. However, we can not forget the songs we jammed to some years back, which are still jamming.

In today’s post, we will share some jams, which will be 15 years old this year.

Mzbel – 16 years

This week’s Throwback choice is Mzbel, an Accra-born artist who collaborated with Castro on 16 Years. We were remembering the early groovy years of 2017 thanks to the rather amusing video of 16 Years. Seeing this video will help you realize how far colored televisions have come.

Mzbel became one of Ghana’s most prominent performers with the publication of her album 16 Years.

Mzbel, on the other hand, is no longer in the news for her music, but rather for her conflicts.

5Five – African Girls

Luther Azamati (Pappi) and Jeffery Opoku Agyekum, two young lads from Adabraka’s ghettoes, make up 5five (Killy). Their music is a mash-up of several genres with broad appeal. With their reggaeton anthem, “African Gurl featuring Diodjo, they came out of nowhere to win the hearts of many.

The song was nominated for multiple Ghana Music Awards in 2008, and it won two of them: Discovery of the Year and Pop Song of the Year.

4×4 – Hot girls.com

Captain Planet (Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey) and Coded, formerly Abortion (Raphael Edem Avornyo) founded 4×4 in Ghana in 2000 with the support of Ronnie Coches and Bright Bling Sparkles (Buk Bak). They’re said to be the ones that brought crunk to Ghana. Captain Planet and Abortion were released in 2007.

KWaw Kese – Odiem

It’s the King of the Streets on this one we bring it back to you as a Throw Back Thursday. Odiem is the title of this one and he is dishes out his rap flow on this tune. Check out this tune and you will certainly love it.
