Last week, former Ghanaian skipper Asamoah Gyan, also known as Baby Jet, was moved to tears during an emotional talk about his career.
At the ceremony, Gary Al Smith of Joy FM questioned the renowned player about his book, which sheds light on his career, and things became emotional for Gyan, who had to cry.
Asamoah Gyan was referring to his younger brother. Sometimes I encounter people on the street who tell me, ‘You are the most loathed player in Ghanaian history,’ but they also tell me, ‘I am the most adored,’ so I usually sit down and wonder why,” he remarked.
“That despised part,” he said, “sometimes I ask myself questions, and then I realize that comes with the terrain I put myself in.”
When Gyan began talking about his brother and how he impacted his career to become who he is now, he reached the pinnacle of an emotional moment. I’m quite emotional right now, thanks to my brother’s support, which I usually emphasize. He is the key to everything, “he stated.
