The 23rd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center (AICC) which was graced by several personalities and dignitaries.
At events such as this, the fashion from favourite celebrities is the talk of the town. Some ‘slay’ the red carpet with breathtaking outfits.
Kuami Eugene, the 2020 Artiste of the Year, wore a totally covered black costume from fashion company Daily Paper to the VGMA Industry Night.
Kuami Eugene entirely covered his face with a nose mask and big dark shades making him appear like a land guard.
On Friday, May 6, the ‘Dollar On You’ singer told GhanaWeb’s entertainment journalist Paulina Dedaa Opoku that he selected his outfit to challenge his fans.
“People will find it difficult to identify me? It is me. Somebody just told me that the way I walk…everybody knows me, I mean. It actually shows that you know me that much. This was actually a test,” the singer explained.
People who liked Kuami’s unusual style branded him as a “black ninja” and said he looked like American rapper Kanye West.
The clothing, according to several critics of Eugene’s style, was inappropriate for the occasion.
