KiDi, after winning the Artist of the Year, has admitted that he was nervous since his competition was fierce, especially because Black Sherif was in the same category.

The ‘Touch It’ hitmaker claimed in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM that he would have been disappointed if he didn’t win the prestigious award because he lost to Diana Hamilton last year, and losing again this year will simply confirm that he is unfortunate in that area.

During the interview, he claimed that the cameras in the auditorium were focused only on him and Black Sherif and that after observing the latter’s refusal to look into the camera, he recognized that things were getting extremely tough in terms of the possibility that it might be any of them.

However, Kidi mentioned that Black Sherif is very talented and needs to be protected by the industry and Ghanaians because he has managed to amass a lot of love and attention ever since he emerged into the music scene.
