Jackline Acheampong known professionally as Gyakie, has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians (Tiktoker) for making his ‘Forever’ song popular.

She said this on the account that TikTok has caused more harm than good to Ghanaian musicians.

Gyakie, on the other hand, has a different point of view, which she expressed in a recent submission to Ghana’s prominent radio station, Hitz FM.

In her submission, she said;

“I think the longevity of a song depends on the song. It’s not really about TikTok. TikTok helped my ‘Forever’ song get to a bigger market.

People still dance Kelvyn Boy’s Down Flat even though it’s been a while since it was released. It came with a dance routine on TikTok too. So like I said, it depends on the song.”

Gyakie appeared in the Hitz FM studios as part of her radio tour to promote her new single, SOMETHING. The song was published on June 10, 2022, and it has received excellent feedback from her fans and other music aficionados.
