Sefadzu Abena Amesu, better known in entertainment as S3fa, has given her opinion on the influence of the social media platform TikTok on music.

According to her, the video-sharing app is ruining Ghana’s music industry.

In explaining her perspective on the subject, the phenomenal diva stated that, as a result of TikTok, most Ghanaians no longer value decent music.

She went on to say that most fans now only buy songs if they come with a TikTok challenge or dance, which she feels is slowly hurting the music industry.

“Now, if you make music and you don’t add a challenge to it, or some sort of dance, or some vibe to it, everybody thinks ttikhat that means you are not doing music. This is not right. I think that Tiktok is killing the whole music industry right now,” S3fa made these assertions in an exclusive interview on Ultimate 106.9FM.

The ‘E choke’ singer went on to say that the new phenomenon has driven musicians to create subpar songs in order to fit TikTok trends.

“If you look at the music industry now, you don’t really hear the kind of quality music we used to hear before. We’re not feeling the type of vibe we used to have before…. This is because everybody thinks that if it doesn’t trend on TikTok, it is not music and that doesn’t make sense.”
