The controversial comment made by Ghanaian TikToker regarding the influencers on the platform’s impact on the music industry has been addressed by rapper .

Asantewaa claimed that TikTokers are essential for musicians to succeed with their songs on social media during an interview for the United Showbiz segment that aired on UTV.

She said that since TikTok has evolved into a promotional tool, musicians who do not reach out to TikTokers for promotion or do not include them in their promotional plans would still fall short, regardless of how well-versed in their skill they may be.

Social media users reacted strongly to this, with many criticizing Asantewaa for making such a pompous claim. Some, nevertheless, put their support behind her, arguing that her claims were true and that their importance should not be underestimated.

In response, Okese1 stated that Asantewaa’s comments are inaccurate since artists may still promote their songs and become well-known without TikTokers.

Okese1 said that he had only recently joined the platform but that his team had told him to leave since TikTok is intended for children and he is a big boy.
