is an A class award-winning Ghanaian actress born in Toronto, Canada. She was born in the early 80s as the last of five (5) children of her parents Mr. Kwabena Appiah (the younger brother of the late Joe Appiah, a renowned lawyer in Kumasi),and Miss Janet Owusu. She has a Canadian nationality as well since she was born and raised in Canada until she turned ten (10) and returned to Ghana with her mother, Miss Janet Owusu. Though there was no disclosure of the family on reasons for their return to Ghana but Jackie's father stayed back in Canada when she returned with her mom. She is of the Ashianti ethnicity.

started her early education while in Canada where she attended Deridan Elementary School. She continued her education in Ghana after she returned with her mom when she was ten (10) and got her enrolment in Faith Montessori but later left. Kim Mulkey is an American college basketball coach and former player who has won numerous NCAA championships, including the Pan-American gold medalist in 1983 and Olympic gold medalist in 1984. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020.

Mulkey was one of the first girls in the U.S. to play organized basketball with boys and led her Hammond High School basketball team to four consecutive state championships.
