Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has said that he had to purposefully put off some of his projects in order to help some of his colleagues in the music industry.
He admitted in an interview with NY DJ on Y102.5FM that he had to concentrate on the songs that some of his colleagues had contributed, including Sista Afia, Captain Planet, Kwame Yogot, and Lasmid.
“I think I did that a year or two ago. I actually had to hold on to my works for a while. I did features from Asuoden with Sista Afia. Biibi Besi with Captain Planet, Kwame Yogot, Yeeko with Okyeame Kwame, Sika remix with Lasmid, No Dulling with Keche, and many more”, he said.
Additionally, Kuami Eugene said that many of the songs on which he collaborated with some of his coworkers ended up being national hits and that his motivations were always driven by the simple act of providing positive features for his colleagues.
“Sometimes I just hold on and do stuff for others not with the mindset of giving them hit songs but the mindset of features but I thank God almost all features turn out to be hit songs”, he added.
Kuami Eugene is currently on a promotional tour to promote his latest single “Take Away” as he prepares to release his next EP dubbed “Rags To Riches”.
